Privacy Policy

Teca is an iPhone application designed with the privacy by design principle. This page clearly explains what happens to your data when you use the app.

TL;DR

Teca does not collect any personal data. All documents, scans, voice notes and extracted information stay exclusively on your iPhone. We don’t operate any servers and we don’t use third-party services for analytics, tracking, or advertising.

Data processed and where it stays

Data that stays on your device

All of this data is stored exclusively in the local SwiftData database of the app.

iCloud sync (optional, premium)

If you enable iCloud sync (available with the Premium subscription), your documents are synced across your Apple devices using Apple’s CloudKit service. Sync is:

Permissions requested

Teca asks for the following permissions on first use:

Microphone To record voice notes
Speech Recognition To transcribe voice notes to text
Notifications To remind you of important deadlines

All permissions are optional. Denying them doesn’t prevent app usage but limits the corresponding features.

In-App Purchases

Teca offers a Premium subscription (€4.99/month). Payments are handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store system. We don’t receive or store any payment data. Billing, refunds, and cancellations are managed in iPhone Settings (Apple ID → Subscriptions).

Cookies, analytics, tracking

Teca does not use:

Minors

Teca is rated 4+ on the App Store and collects no data — making it suitable for minors as well. We never ask for the user’s age.

Any future changes to this privacy policy will be published on this page. The date at the top reflects the last update.
